I am taking a product for colon cleansing. The first day was great as I had several normal bowel movements after almost a year of severe constipation. Previously I averaged using the toilet three times a week. Now, the third day into it I have severe diarrhea as well as some anal leakage. Should I continue, take a smaller dose or stop altogether? In case this is relevant I am using a product called OXY-POWDER.

I heard that colon cleansers not only help you cleanse your system but also you may lose a little bit of weight in your belly, I for one know that i need it for cleansing, i dont have regular bowel movements usually twice – three times a week for me, i know if i take a cleansing system i can get all this junk out of my system, i would like to know if anyone has tried any of this methods and does it work and have you lost weight! Please dont give a lecture on eating right and seeing a doctor, i just want to know about what is the good brand to use and if it works.

I don’t have the time to go thru a detox program, but I would like to take something that will increase my bowel movements. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t drink coffee. What about dandelion supplements?

My son is 21 months old, he has 2-4 bowel movements per day. Is this normal? His weight is around 10.5~11 kg.Thanks

My boyfriend has too many bowel movements thorughout the day. Its causing us to spend too much time indoors because he always has the urge to go, specially after we eat. Anyone know whats wrong with hiM?

I started using a cleansing product recommended by an herbalist that I get my vitamins from. The first few days all I noticed was increased bowel movements. Now I am sick to my stomach, cramping, diarrhea. Are these possible side affects? I thought maybe just a bug, but we are going on day three of these intermittent symptoms and I have never had a flu bug go that long. Is it possible that these supplements have flushed out the helpful bacteria in my colon? And yes I did stop taking!!!

Hi. I’m 15 years old and I have a bowel problem. Every time I have to take a #2 it’s usually once every week and they become to big to flush. I did have frequent constipation when I was younger. I am currently taking fiber pills but my once a week bowel movements keep ocurring. I’m thinking of trying a colon cleanse or enema. If all else fails, I’m heading to a gastroantologist.

Soluable, insoluble fibers-what does what? And what foods can you find them in?
And what kinds of foods can inhibit healthy bowel movements?

A few more tidbits that will help this scenario. I have recently had a fistula and abcess that was removed from the outer part of my anus. The infection was caused by feces imbedded in my colon and resulted in a very painful surgery and recovery. I rarely make bowel movements *2-3 during a full week normally* and have gone up to 2 weeks without a movement at all. When I do have BM’s, they are usually ribbon-like and cause discomfort, afterwhich I feel like I have not passed all of it and usually go to the bathroom multiple times during that day, although I make no progress after the initial movement. The fissure I am guessing, was caused from the ‘aftermath’ when I make BM’s. When I feel like I have not evacuated completely, I sit, and unintentionally strain, *muscles react as if I were vomiting*. Honestly, my diet is atrosious. Fast food, Hot pockets, Pizza, things of that nature are my normal meals. Hope this helps.

I have been having unusally large bowel movements, Is there any way I can make it smaller and softer befor I have another bowel movement. ( I dont drink a lot of water nor fiber whitch prabably helps ) I dont know a whole lot on these types of things if you have an answer please tell. thank you!

I haven’t experienced any bowel movements yet and I’m wondering on which day I should get them… The second? fourth?

(I’m currently on the first or second day.)

What happens if you eat while you’re on the Master Cleanse? Let’s say someone ate some fruits- what will happen?

I’ve noticed that the morning after a night of binge drinking my bowel movements tend to have a distinctive feeling and character to them. A lot of other friends have mentioned the same thing, so I’m under the impression it’s not just me. What is the physiological cause of this?

My daughter is 6 weeks old, and she is being fed breast milk (I pump) and similac advanced formula. Each feeding she has 3 ounces breast milk and 1-2 ounces of formula. She is only have 2 maybe 3 bowel movements every 24-30 hours. Is this normal? How much does your 6 week old poop!? I just want to make sure nothing is wrong. She also has 6-9 wet diapers a day, so there is no problem there.

I was recently told that I was full of crap! I pondered this question for a moment or two, then headed straight to you, the insightful ones.

So how is one to know if they are truly in need of a cleansing, or as what a colonic preveyor may refer to as detoxification.

Now, if my schooling taught me anything, it was that the colon, also called the large intestine follows the small intestine and comprises the end of the gastrointestinal tract. Now, we learned that most nutrients from food are absorbed in the small intestine. This would entail the colon to absorb water and salts from the stool while it pushes it along through the rectum. Correct?
Wouldn't laxatives work just the same? They promote bowel movements, have been around for atleast 3892 Years!
Colon cleansing refers to a more invasive procedure of water and hoses stuck you-know-where. It's not clear when this practice started.

It's not poo in the toilet that ponders my couriosity, it's the poo in me!

I usually get in at least 2, and sometimes 3 a day. A friend of mine said she only poops about once every 3 days! That doesn’t seem normal. I think the docs say you should have a good BM at least once a day.

How about you? How many bowel movements do you have per day?

my son is 3 months old, he sometimes have 6-8 poopey diapers a day and sometimes he doesnt have any poops for 5 days in a row.. is it normal to have 6-8 bowel movements a day? and how is the colour of the bowel movements must be?
help…

I have just started a body/colon cleanse routine which simply calls for my taking 2 -3 pills in the am & pm, but I normally take a multi, super B, calcium, milk thistle (clean liver) as well as Omega 3. I noticed with the cleanse, that having 2 bowel movements pushes everything out faster. Can someone who has done this give me a reply? This is not aimed at losing weight, but ridding the body of toxins since I do take allergy meds.
